The Game
How we play
- Usually 4 vs 4, on small unihockey goals.
- Sometimes 3 vs 3 instead, if everyone on the night agrees.
- 8 players is the standard setup. More than 8 and we rotate substitutes.
- With 12 players we split into three teams and rotate. Twelve is the maximum.
No hands, keeper!
The vibe
It is a relaxed, friendly game between friends and friends-of-friends. A few players are genuinely good, most of us are somewhere in the broad middle, and nobody is keeping a league table.

When
Every Wednesday 20:15–21:45 Season: late August → mid-April
Season & breaks
The indoor season runs from the end of August until roughly mid-April. Outside those months the hall belongs to someone else.
No games during school holidays
The hall is closed during BBZ school holidays. No football on these Wednesdays in 2026/27:

Fancy a game?
We are always happy to meet potential new players. The level is mixed and the atmosphere is relaxed, so you do not need to be any good — you just need to enjoy playing and turn up reasonably often.
Come along one Wednesday, give it a try and see whether you like it. No commitment, no trial by fire, no paperwork.
Info English works perfectly here — many of us also speak Swiss German.
How to join
- Ask whoever sent you this link. They will let the group know you are coming.
- Come along for one session. Turn up at Reishauergasse 2 and play.
- Enjoyed it? You get added to the WhatsApp group and you are one of us.
A poll goes round the WhatsApp group every week, so by Wednesday lunchtime we know whether we have enough players. That is why it helps if the person who invited you flags you in the chat beforehand.
